At OAGS we are committed to creating a supportive and engaging learning environment that cultivates growth, curiosity and taking risks so that we cultivate lifelong learners.
The core business of our school is the delivery of our academic programme. Our desire is to develop lifelong learners who are continually growing in knowledge and understanding. The educational curriculum at OAGS carefully balances gaining head knowledge (traditional curriculum), heart knowledge (who am I and how do I fit into this world), and hand knowledge (practical skills) to prepare students for success.
As a school, we provide rich learning opportunities that enable students to access the curriculum in a meaningful way at their point of understanding. We believe that each student is on an educational journey and our goal is not simply the imparting of knowledge but equipping students to be independent, individual thinkers and learners in their pursuit of excellence.
As students engage with the curriculum we encourage them to have inquiring minds and make connections between subjects rather than seeing them in isolation. Explicit teaching of content and concepts is delivered in such a way that students grow in their understanding, so that information leads to the transformation of who they are and the positive impact that they can have in our world.
Joining this school has been one of the best decisions we've made for our family.
