Motto: "Seek the Truth"
Our Vision:
As a community found in Jesus we;
Seek the Truth and pursue Excellence for a life fulfilled in Service.
Our Values: Truth, Excellence and Service
Truth - Inspires - faith, honour, loyalty and commitment
— Value 1
In our school community, truth serves as the cornerstone of our well-being and success. Our decisions, both minor and life-changing, are rooted in what we believe to be true. Acting in good faith, we build meaningful relationships and love is found as we live out truth and faithfulness. To engage our children in learning, we must be able to foster good and positive relationships.
Whilst as a school we are tasked to deliver an education, the greatest gift that we can provide for our students is discovering true love found only in Jesus. Truth is not a product of invention but a discovery, revealed to us by God through His Word. Jesus is not only synonymous with truth, but he is also its source, embodiment, and the ultimate reference point against which all truth-claims are evaluated.
‘It gave me great joy when some believers came and testified about your faithfulness to the truth, telling how you continue to walk in it. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.’ (John 14:6)
Excellence - Inspires - adventure, curiosity, creativity and growth
— Value 2
We strive to be excellent for others and ourselves. We do this in order to make an outstanding impact for the good of our community. Striving for excellence means seeking to improve and better ourselves, to be always growing. Our striving for excellence is that we may be excellent for the sake of others. Excellence is strongly aligned with a life of compassion, humility, respect, honesty, integrity and responsibility, for it is when we commit ourselves to modelling Jesus in the service of others that we strive to be excellent.
'Finally, brothers, we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more.' (1 Thessalonians 4:1)
Service - Inspires - compassion, fun and community
— Value 3
As a community we do not think more highly of ourselves than we ought. We are human and we share in the humanity of others. Being humble arises from our Christian belief that we are equal in the sight of God because we are all created in His image. We live to serve Him and therefore one another. We model service by going out of our way to help others, to be generous towards others, to care for others and stand up for others.
'For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.' Mark 10:45
